Add or Edit a Labor Hour Type
Authorized users can use the Labor Hour Type page to define and edit work order labor hour types. A labor hour type defines the multiplier used to calculate the labor rate.
To add labor hour types or edit existing labor hour types, follow the steps below.
- Go to Maintenance > Financial Management > Work Orders > Labor Hour Types.
- To edit an existing labor hour type click the Edit
icon next to the code listed. To add a new labor hour type, click New.
- In Code, type a short name to identify the labor hour type. For example, Standard, OT Double Time, etc.
- In Description, type a textual description for the labor hour type. For example, Standard-Straight Time, Overtime-Double Time, etc.
- Select the Active check box to identify the labor hour type as active in the system.
- In Multiplier, type the value by which the hourly pay is multiplied.
- Click Save to save the labor hour type in the system. Click Save/New to save the labor hour type and create another labor hour type.
While editing a labor hour type, click Reset at any time to return to the previous state the page was in before you made changes.
Delete a Labor Hour Type
The ability to delete is based on user authority and may not be available. Follow the steps below to delete a labor hour type.
- Click Delete. A confirmation window displays.
- Click OK to confirm and delete the labor hour type.
